Best effects for female voiceover

New Here ,
Jan 15, 2018 Jan 15, 2018

Hi all. I have an Apollo Twin preamp which is awesome for adding some compression on my voice. However, I'm wondering if there are any nice effects to make my voice sound even better/richer. I used to use the Classic Soft Knee in Dynamics Processing but it doesn't have the same effect now I have a new preamp.

Can anyone recommend any tips or tricks?

Thanks!

People keep asking this, and the answer's always the same:

We can't tell a thing about your voice without listening to it. Not only that, but since we aren't you, we can't tell exactly what you want it to sound like - what the hell is 'nice' when it's at home? Neither do we know what mic you're using, and how (there is a lot of variation available here), and this can make a huge difference to the sound you get. There is no 'one size fits all' solution to any of these issues, I'm afraid.

We need, at a bare minimum, to hear an example, and to know exactly what you don't like about it.
