Hi there
My first post, so thanks in advance any assistance.
First some context for the problem: I'm communications worker in a small charity, and Im using Audition CC19 to make podcasts. I had been using audio file on a server based on the office, though there is a process underway to move to the cloud. I was using a specific participation to store and access audio files for editing. I have a series of sesx file saved for a number of podcasts under production. BUT while I was out for a few days that tech people migrated the source folders to the cloud and deleted the original source files Im using in my sessions
My issue
When I open up my save sessions and projects on Audition, all my files are now reading "offline"
My question
Is it possible for an existing project/session 'point' to a different file source location and still keep all the editing, cutting, volume changes etc that have been applied to each file in each track in session view.
And how would I best do that.
Thanks so much.

Yes - you just need to relink the files to the session. At the bottom of the 'Clip' menu (or by right-clicking on the offline file marker on the edit screen) there is an option to relink the media - or if all the files are in the same place, relink all of them in one go. This alters the session file so that it points to the new location. But...
I have to warn you though, that if the files are cloud-based, the chances of them working successfully in the session from their remote storage is very small, and this will adversely affect your chances of a mixdown working properly. The only sensible way to work with remote files is to download them to a disk local to your machine and work from the local copies, rather than at the end of a long piece of wet string that you have no control over - if you see what I mean. This has tripped up quite a few people in the past!

When you're saving a Multitrack session you'll usually get a prompt box asking if you'd like to copy all files to the Session folder. It's a good idea to answer Yes to this and then everything will be saved into one folder. This makes it easy to pick up one folder from the cloud and continue working.
Here's what the dialogue box looks like:
