But live, because my microphone is going through adobe audition before being played, so can I make that sound effect like a filter somehow?

But he does it on a pre-recorded clip, I want it to sound like that when I speak, live.

Well in that case you still apply the same effects to the track that you are using to feed your mic to as he shows for the second track in the video. Make sure that the red R and the orange I buttons are selected on your track so that you can hear your mic live.
