Can you watch a muted video you're going to record voice over for in audition?

If there are edited videos that have no voice over, can you watch said video and record voice over at the same time? I'm hoping there's a method where you can pause the recording and the video at the same time, so they're in sync.

Trying to cut back on audio editing to match the timing with the video.

Yes, you can pause a video whilst recording a voiceover without difficulty. I've only ever done it in Waveform view but it probably works in Multitrack as well. Before you start, you need to right-click on the Record button and make sure it's in Overwrite, ot strange things will happen to your mistakes!

What Audition won't do though is lay the audio track back into the video - there is no encoding built in.Normally you'd start this process from Premiere, and do the layback there via the dynamic link.
