I subscribed to a plan for Adobe Audition for my schooling as my school set up account didnt work.
I started and finished my assignment as usual and planned to keep it.
Due to schools closure I no longer need it and since we had to save money for the virus I needed to cancel my subscription.
I am a school kid paying for my own things and understandable the company needs to make money
but seriously $149.95 to cancel my subscription! Am I missing something here?!
Why did I need to pay $149.95!! That is crazy
I understand there are more important things right now but im just frustrated that this is an actaul thing?!

Since this is user to user forum there is nothing anyone here can do to help you, unfortunately.
When you signed up for your subscription I assume you signed for the monthly payment for 12 months? If so, the key fact is that "12 months"; Adobe are thus perfectly within their rights to insist you "pay for" the remainder of your contract period. I do not think, personally, that the fact you need to cancel now and for the understandable reasons you give is any "legal" reason why Adobe should not enforce the terms of the agreement.
OTOH, I see no reason why you should not fully explain your situation to them and ask for your circumstances to be "taken into consideration", with a view to them allowing you to end your contract without any penalty. There's certainly no harm in trying, at least!

Hi
This is a user forum and we can't assist with billing, nor do we speak for Adobe. We have heard some stories of folks who have needed to cancel for the reasons you stated and Adobe has given them an extra couple of months. Contact Adobe Customer Care:
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html . Click the chat icon in the lower right and type "agent" so you get a human and not the bot and explain your situation. Please report back and tell us how it goes. Keep in mind that staff is working from home now, and there may be longer wait times. Possibly the bot is better programmed now, so you could try that.
Here are the subscription terms you agreed to, btw, which explains the cancellation fee you received.
https://www.adobe.com/legal/subscription-terms.html
"Cancellation Terms
"You can cancel your subscription anytime via your Adobe Account page or by contacting Customer Support*. If you cancel within 14 days of your initial order, you’ll be fully refunded. Should you cancel after 14 days, you’ll be charged a lump sum amount of 50% of your remaining contract obligation and your service will continue until the end of that month’s billing period."
