So I have an audio recording for a video. The audio itself is pretty loud, but when I listen to it through apple music (I'm on mac), it's totally fine and isn't distorted.
Yet, when I go and put it into Audition and Premiere, it clips and distorts pretty bad, can anyone help me as to why and how to fix it?
P.S. I've tried DeClipper, but it makes the audio sound pretty bad.

Perhaps you could give us a sample to examine what is happening?

Okay.
I recorded it with my phone so it's not the best quality, but you can clearly hear the difference; the first playback is the audio file played through Apple Music, the second one is after I placed the audio file on to my timeline in Premiere Pro (I have not made any changes to the audio gain or anything, I just placed it on the timeline).
Here's also an additional screenshot of the audion on premiere.

The Audio. Sorry, can't seem to upload it as a file right away into this forum.

I would go to Edit > Preferences > Audio Hardware and see exactly where your audio is being played
I would then look at the settings of that hardware as determined by your OS to see exactly what is going on
I am, of course, assuming that you have no fx or presets added to your Audition session
