Coughs

Can people share how they deal with coughs? I do a lot of live audience recordings, and coughs are my biggest headaches.

You should be able to at least minimize them by going to Waveform view and turning on Spectral Display (shift + D)

And then 'paint' them out using the Spot Healing Brush

This is destructive editing so make a copy before you start 😉

+1 for the spot healing brush in Spectral View.

However, for the future, you can minimise the amount of audience pickup--including coughs--with the choice, positioning and aiming of microphones.
