CS6 - saved audio file now is only noise on Left channel

New Here ,
Apr 18, 2018 Apr 18, 2018

After Saving an audio file In Audition CS6, the file becomes corrupt; when I look at the file again, it is only 1 second of static alternating 1 second of silence and only on the Left channel (Right Channel is silent) for the duration of the file.

This is happening on 2 separate systems.  We have been using Audition CS6 for years without an issue, until now.

It is periodic too, no warning, rhyme, or reason.

Thoughts?

Where on your systems are you saving the audio files to? This can really only happen if there is a problem with how your filing systems on the computers are handling file saving onto external or network drives.

Hi RyClark,

All files are stored on Network file servers.  We have not changed our process for saving audio files for 5+ years. We have updated the file server 8 months ago, but this issue has just started in the last week.

Showing no issues on the network, nor excessive traffic, same with the server.  Swept the network connection from both prod machines, all come back as excellent.

If you, as an experiment, store the file on the local machine, is it okay then?
