Echo exists in Adobe Audio whcih didn't exist earlier

Hi there. I am fairly new to using Adobe Audition. My audio, recorded on a fairly professional microphpone, did not originally have an echo associated with it when I was editing it in Audition. For some reason, now it has a slight echo. I must have accidentally hit a button that added this. Any feedback on how to remove would be appreciated! Any things that I can check to remove?

Thanks!

We need a bit more information here. What would help is to tell us exactly what steps you took during the recording and editing process. Did you, for instance, record this in Waveform or Multitrack view? If the original file plays okay, then the editing steps might give us a clue. The other thing that would help is a link to a sample of this echoing sound. (You can't post audio directly to the site, I'm afraid - you need to store it externally in something like DropBox and provide a link to the file.)
