I’ve found that last 1 to 1.5 seconds of audio I’ve just recorded from a USB microphone will occasionally get added to the end of a recording after I've stopped recording. At the end of the repeated audio will also be a harsh static sound but the waveform of the audio doesn’t show that there should be anything at the end. I found that the spectral frequency display shows there is audio at the end of the recording.
If I close the recording, delete the file’s .pkf or move the file somewhere so that it doesn't load the .pkf, and then reload the audio into Audition I see the extra audio at the end of the waveform.

Generally, all my recordings are perfect and don't have any issues. This issue just seems to pop up every now and then. When the issue occurred I checked my Performance Monitor and I was only using 7G of my 16G of ram.
I’m running the following:
MSI notebook
Windows 10 64bit
Intel Core i7-7700HQ @2.80Ghz
16G DDR4 2400MHz SODIMM
240G SSD (with 128G free space)
Blue Yeti USB microphone using MME and 30ms latency
Recording at a sample rate of 48000, mono, and 24bits
