Hello, can someone please tell me how I export an mp3 that has the ability to switch between the numerous tracks - so has track numbers, is not just one long track of an hour, but listeners can forward to track 12 if they want.  Thank you, Karl

You can't - MP3 as a format doesn't support this; no marker provision. There are all sorts of workarounds - you need to look into audiobook formats and how they work.

Ok, thanks.  I'll look into Audiobook formats.

Do other formats support it like .wav ?

Thank you.

You can attach markers to wav files, but they are stored separately at the end of the file. This means that they can be worked on independently by programs such as CueListTool. If you reopened the file in any other software that supported the same marker format, then obviously they would re-appear. But because there's no standard for this, all other software uses proprietary formats for the same thing, so they aren't transferrable. The only thing that can actually be written into a wav file's metadata universally is the Cue Chunk data, but once again that's a specialist decode, and really meant for jingle and spot playouts on radio stations. Audition can certainly write this, but once again, it's not going to be of any use to you, I'm afraid.
