Hi,
I recently bought a new desktop after my previous one died. I reinstalled all my Adobe apps from Creative Cloud and was going to record some audio this morning when I ran into a problem.
Whenever I hit record, Audition started lagging. There was a noticeable half-second delay prevalent throughout, and no matter what I did, the problem didn't stop.
I tried changing the latency rate, allocating more RAM, but nothing fixed it. Thing is, when I unplugged the microphone and hit record, it ran fine with no delay.
For reference, my desktop is a Dell Inspiron with 12 GB of RAM. The microphone I use is a Yeti X. Any advice or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

I would make sure that you are using an ASIO driver for the internal sound card or even consider an external audio interface
