Help!! There was an error message when I was working and now I can't hear some of my audio clips?

I am working on a project and while I was in the middle of working I got an error popup that said, "Audition has encountered an error reading or writing to disk. we recommend you do a save of your work and restart audition." I did as it said and I went back into audition and specific clips have no audio. Does anyone know why this is? I can't get the audio back and even when I pull it up in my files and play it through apple music, there is still no audio. It also says in my audio hardware that my default unput audio is diasabled. I'm not sure if that's part of a different issue or the same.  Any help is appreciated.

Hi Morgan,

Both issues are different

The read and writing error may came if you lost connection to the data drive. like if you have your data on external drive and accdently it got disconnected.

The second issue is for audio hardware setup, by default Audition maps auto to system default audio hardware device. as per screen shot your current system default audio hardware is airpod. you can change the audio hardware mapping from same preference.

Regards
