Hi! I am trying to record a keyboard track in a multi-track session playing along with an audio file. I am using a sapphire 6 USB by focusrite... if I turn the volume of the keyboard up enough to hear it along with the other track I get a lot of distortion. Is there a way to reduce the input volume in Audition?

Not enough info as to how you are setup but I a couple of things to consider...
1. set your input gain so that it is not too hot ie it isn't clipping at the focusrite input
2. If you can't hear the backing track then consider creating a 'send'
This can be to a seperate Bus going to the main output or creating an additional Bus going to anouther hardware output (assuming 2 playbacks on the focusrite) and then direct the 'send' to that hardware Bus

I'm using 2 screens so mine is a little different. You currently have the 'Editor' tab selected but you just need to select the "Mixer" tab to get to the settings I indicated
PS I'm not sure it is Audition sending everyone in NY crazy 😉
