Help - Two problems with CC 2017 newest edition

New Here ,
Jan 27, 2017 Jan 27, 2017

1.  I cannot get my microphone to work now CC 17, up until last week everything was fine....what can I have done? I have checked everything and all looks as it should.  I have been using Audition for years and everything is set up correctly - as far as I can see, yet I have no sound going through the sound card.  I can hear myself in the headphones but nothing on the metre input signal.

2. When a multitrack has been made CC17 will not let me export it into a single .Mp3 - why is this.

I wish I had my previous CC6 back - I have had nothing but problems with CC17

From your question it sounds like you're using the built in sound card and a mic plugged into the 3.5mm jack.  If my assumption is wrong let us know.

The first thing to do is go to the Windows Audio Control and check that your mic input is set as the default recording device.  While you're there, go to the advanced tab and check that the Bit depth and Sample rate are correct--probably CD quality.  While you're there, go to playback devices and make sure the sample rate/bit depth there match the record side.

Then, in Audition, go to Edit/Preferences/Audio hardware. Set the Device type to MME and make sure the drop down menus are set to be your sound card for both record and playback.

If this doesn't do it, you'll need to confirm your version of Windows, type of sound card and audio interface.  The fix will be similar but some details may be different.
