I'm trying to tightly edit some dialogue and have no use for panning. The pan line wasn't there in the beginning and I don't know why it showed up, but now the line is blocking waveform details that I need to see to finish what I'm working on.
Does any one know how to turn the pan line off?

Go to the View menu, and take the check out of what you don't want to see - you have a choice of items, including Pan envelopes.
