Hi,

I am new to Auditioning but not new to editing.  I have several clips on one track that are vocal.  I have two music clips on a second track.  I am trying to set the volume for each clip.  For instance, the first clip in the vocal track is a male and needs the volume to be set lower.  However, my voice is over a music track in which the music needs to be lower and my voice higher.  I can adjust the volumes in the mixer but it does not stay set for each clip.  The adjustment is for the entire track.  Is there a way to set the volume for each clip?  or is there another feature or setting.  Tia.

If you highlight a clip and go to the Effects Rack tab, you'll find at the top of it that you can choose between Clip Effects and Track Effects. I think that the implications of this are pretty obvious... Alternatively, you could use the Automation system to achieve this, but it's a lot easier just to set the effects rack to Clip, I think.
