This is easy to do in Audition.

First, start a Multitrack Session (File/New/Multitrack Session)..

Assuming your track are already recorded, drag the first one into Track 1 and the second into track 2.  FYI, there's no limit on how many tracks you can have.

This is easy to do in Audition.

First, start a Multitrack Session (File/New/Multitrack Session)..

Assuming your track are already recorded, drag the first one into Track 1 and the second into track 2.  FYI, there's no limit on how many tracks you can have.

Once you have that there are several ways you can mix levels but the easiest is likely to use 'Volume Envelopes".   You'll see a yellow line about 2/3 of the way up on each audio track.  Use the pointer to click on that line roughly where you want a level change to start and click another point (you'll be able to see them).  Then just drag these points to raise and lower volume.   You can also drag them horizontally to change the start and end points of the level change.   You can have as many of these volume envelope key frames as you want.

Once you like the sound, click on File/Export/Multrack Mixdown.

If you need to record the tracks into Audition this is also easy but needs another set of instructions.

I might suggest that to get the best out of Audition, you might want to work through some of the video tutorials here:  Audition CC tutorials | Learn how to use Audition CC  Audition is very much a professional Audio Editor with a ton of flexibility--but with that comes some learning curve.
