Hey I've looked on other forums but no one really seems to provide the answer I am looking for.
I need to constantly make little adjustments to the multitrack audio file that is easiest handled in the waveform part (like extending the pause between dialogue). As soon as I make an adjustment in waveform I'll get the little triangle warning sign on the bottom left corner of the multitrack file that it's no longer the same audio file as the one in the waveform.
Basically I just want to sync the adjustments made in waveform so it automatically carries out into multitrack, so a destructive edit. Currently I continue re-pasting the updated waveform into multitrack and it's just an extra step I feel I could get rid of.
Any thoughts on how to do this?
Thanks!

I'm afraid you're not going to find the answer you're looking for, because it doesn't exist. What you are doing amounts to throwing away the baby with the bathwater!
Simple extending of pauses is just as easy in Multitrack, and also undoable when you change your mind. Every time you make an edit in Waveform view, you stand a reasonable chance of mucking up work you've already done - so why do it? If you learn how to do this in Multitrack, then you will save a lot of time - simply by not having to go back over things you've already done.
