How to view spectral frequency in real time?

Hi there,

For the longest time I've been having an issue with editing my podcast in Adobe Audition 2022, whereas when I'm say adding a noise reduction filter on the effects rack, it does not show in real time what changes are being made, only after I apply the effects rack. Is there any sort of setting I can change to allow this to be the case? The only workaround I see is selecting "preview editor" but that takes about 30 seconds-a minute just to show one change and obviously takes too long. Any solutions? Thanks - Matt

The reason that Preview mode is there is that this is the only way to do this. Effects fall into two basic categories; process or real-time. Process effects are defined as ones that require so much processing that they cannot be previewed in real time because of the inevitable delay whilst this happens - nothing is truly instant in computing. This doesn't apply to all effects to a major extent, but would apply to a lot more if they had to include graphics recalculations as well.
