HUGE ISSUE - Audition crashes after a period of inactivity

There is a huge bug in Audition - often when left for several minutes to several hours with a project open - when I go back to it and click anywhere in it - it instantly switches to another program I have opened on my computer.

I can' t do anything - and have to close it down and reopen from scratch.

Has anyone come across this weird bug and knows how to fix it?

what is going on there??

Since we don't know even whether this is on a Mac or a PC, or the OS, it's rather hard to speculate. I have to say though that I've not experienced anything at all like that happening on a system that I regularly leave in that state for hours on end... so unless this is on a Mac (when I wouldn't know), I don't think it's any sort of Audition bug.

The other reason for not thinking it's an Audition bug is that if it was that bad, then everybody would be complaining about it (like the Markers bug) and they aren't. Which rather points the finger back at your system, I'm afraid...

I would probably look to see what is happening in the background and try killing off everything that wasn't essential and see if that changes anything

that's what I do.  Something it works, sometimes it doesn't.

My point is  - this shouldn't be happening at all as it indicates problems aith Audition.

My other programs don't interfere with each other, so if the issue is with only one program - that's the program that has an issue.

I don't think anything is wrong with Windows 10 at all - try doing what SuiteSpot suggests, for a start.

As SteveG says if there was an issue with Audition then everyone would have that same issue but it seems you are the only one with this issue so logic says that the first place to look is with your particular setup
