I cant use effect "Normalize" in Multitrack

Hi.

Who can help me?

I creat new file. but only MULTITRACK SESSION and next i would like add in track new effect "normalize". but i cant find this effect in menu, he is hidden if i create multitrack session. But if i create audio file: FILE=>new=>audioFile then i can use effect "normalize" path: effects=>amplitude and Compression => Normalize.

How i can use effect "normalize" in MultiTrack file or can you talk me why analog effect Normalize.

You cannot use 'normalize' in multitrack view, because it works only on 'real' files, opened in Waveform view. Files opened in Multitrack view are only opened in 'play' mode as virtual files - any actual alteration to the file (which normalizing is) has to happen in Waveform view. It's not an effect as such - simply an operation to set the peak value of the file to a level you determine. If you want files of low amplitude to be visible in Multitrack view, then you need to normalize them to a sui

It's not an effect as such - simply an operation to set the peak value of the file to a level you determine. If you want files of low amplitude to be visible in Multitrack view, then you need to normalize them to a suitable value (around -1dB) in Waveform view before trying to use them in Multitrack.
