I want to record audio speech from youTube.

Is there any program in the Adobe suite that will allow me to do this. I am using charater animator and want to record youTube speech for a characature. If I cannot achieve this with Adobe software does anyone know any legit software that will allow me to do this?

It's possible to do this with Audition, but it's a bit of a pain to set up, so most of us don't bother. Also it means that you have to reset everything afterwards to record anything else, which is often a pain too. Fortunately there is other software that does all the strange routing necessary and it just works, without any hassle. The program I use is SoundTap by NCH software - NCH Software. I have no connection with them other than as a satisfied customer, incidentally.

If you are feeling brave, you can probably manage what SoundTap does using Virtual Audio Cable, but it is not for the faint-hearted...
