ID3 Metadata Not copied to CD layout and cannot be created and saved for CD burn

I have created multiple audio files, MP3, in Audition (CC 2017) and for each file, I have added ID3 metadata. When I open the files I can see that the metadata I have created is there. But when I create a CD layout and insert the files in the CD layout the ID3 metadata is not there in the metadata view. Also, if I add the metadata while in the CD layout view it is not being saved. I want this information to be associated with each file when I burn the CD. No metadata is being added for any of the tracks on the CD.

How can I get this to work?

I'm afraid you can't. ID3 metadata is only associated with MP3 files, and Audition's CD writer only creates CD audio files, which are, to all intents and purposes, wav files; Audition will have created temporary wav files on the fly from your MP3 files in order to produce any results at all.

If you want actual MP3 files with metadata on a CD, it has to be a CD-ROM, and you'll need an app like NERO to create this.
