Hello everyone, I'm Igor
It's first time for me posting in the Adobe Community. Long time user of Adobe suite.
I'm currently struggling with Audition.
I'm working on a project with audio from Premiere via dynamic link.
I've done most of the work but I've found myself most of the time waiting to Audition to load files, opening projects (it can take up to 5 minutes), even saving multitrack sessions sometimes can take up to 10 minutes.
I've also frequent crashes and trying to recover the session from Autition crash recovery proves itself useless.
The project itself is not so big, there are 10 stereo tracks in a 10 minutes sequence.
I'm working on a Win pro 10 machine with 32GB ram, i7-5820k Cpu, SSD drives and Raid arrays, on a firewire Focusrite pro24 interface.
Audition is up to date and all drivers are so.
I find it buggy and really unstable, almost unreliable.
Maybe there are some system tweaks I need to do (I've never had such problems with other DAWs)?
Thanks for every tip, much appreciated.
My best and stay safe.
If you do a google search using the term 'Optimising Windows for audio' you will find loads of stuff you should do - and yes a lot of it can make a big difference to performance.

It doesn't normally behave like that, no. Is the Premiere version you are using up to date? One of the important factors in getting the round trip performance correct is having matching version numbers at any given time. The reason for this is that the round-trip performance is still being worked on, and this tends to get developed in parallel on both apps.

Thank you for your reply Steve.
Actually all my CC softwares are up to date.
Premiere Pro is version 14.1 and Audition is version 13.0.5
The dynamic link functionality is working fine, is actuallyt the performance in Audition quite troubling.
Lot of wait time on opening and saving multitrack sessions, and often app responsivness.
I'll try with a fresh install of all CC softwares.
Are there some recomended settings in windows to look out?

Thank you Steve. I tried to optimize windows and I think that the matters around power managment did the trick.
Audition seems more responsive and stable.
Many thanks
