Novice when it comes to tech, soooo need a little help. Doing some simple voice-overs and some easy multi-track production. Nothing outrageous.
I'm using the Omega from Lexicon, EV RE20, Adobe 1.5 and a Dell XP. All is working. But not quite right. Settings, Device Order, Device Properties...this is where I need some assistance and more.
Tracks are assigned In 1 and Out 1. I start recording a v/o on track 1, its showing up in left channel and extremely low level. I can mono it, then normalize, and after that, its actually very usable.
I try and record some music on a track, and its recording on both left and right channels, but mono, AND phasing issues. What happened to stereo? Gotta be Omega?
Thanks for any assistance.
Suggestions?

Omega? The Omega is how old now? (about 11, if you don't recall). To be fair, it's not the age that is the problem here - it's that it's an Omega. Back in the good old days (about 20 years ago) I remember that we had problems with a lot of Lexicon's kit - mainly because they didn't have sensible drivers - they worked all right with ProTools, but caused huge amounts of grief with most other software, including Audition. And that was back in the days of straightforward operating systems that the drivers were supposed to work with. The last driver update was 2017, and I don't suppose that this works much better, if any. One thing you have to note is at the bottom of the driver page - scroll right down: Omega driver page
You are clearly to be congratulated on getting anything out of it at all. But please, get a newer interface with an up-to-date driver!
