I'm working on Audition at home this weekend and the frame rate, i.e. the speed of updates to the playback bars and the time indicator, is slow. At work, I use a 1920x1080 monitor on a recent Lenovo laptop and all is well. Why would performance be worse on a 4K screen with a 1080 Ti?
My CPU is a liquid-cooled 6-core, 12-thread Haswell-E Intel, the 5930K. During playback, it never goes above 16% utilization. The files are located on my boot drive, a 512 GB Samsung 850 Evo.
I have never had a performance issue on anything except The Witcher 3. Can I force Audition to downscale its resolution? How do I get it to display properly?
