Low level, and only LF

Playback of clips in multitrack view starts (it seems) with a fraction of a second of full level audio, before becoming (instantly) low level and very muffled – nothing above [say] 100 Hz.

There is a clip at the beginning of the timeline that is not affected.

This problem seemed to start at the same time as my other Question ‘A tiny part of a clip [c2”]gets repeated over and over’

Curiouser and curiouser as a famous children's book would say.

What are you using for a sound card or audio interface?  My only guess might be that whatever your device maybe a driver update is needed for it to operate properly with the Windows 10 update.

Creative Blaster Audigy Fx 5.1 PCIe Sound Card with SBX Pro Studio

and yes, I asked the system to check and it says the drivers are up to date.

I haven't uninstalled and then reinstalled the card , tho' (yet)
