Hi,
Could you help me record / bridge live audio through Audition and relay that output to the PCs mic input?
I'm currently adding audio to a collection of online flashcards on Quizlet.com. There is button to hold on the web GUI that then captures and adds audio from the mic.
I have a reasonable mic and am using a soundboard app on my phone to intro but it sounds quite amateurish. I'd like the polish / filters that Audition adds.
This is likely a simple mapping inputs / outputs issue but I'm out of my depth. I have a tablet PC, Samson Go USB mic and the current Audition.
I am reasonably comfortable adding effects, etc, it's just the relaying the audio via Audition in such a way that a basic website checking the "mic input" would find.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not really clear what it is you're trying to do--it sort of sounds like you're trying to create a feedback loop to route the output of Audition back into itself.
However, I know this won't be helpful but Audition doesn't handle this sort of routing--it just records what it's given and/or feeds it to the output of your chosen sound card. I think you'll probably have to look at the Windows Audio Controls and see if you can achieve the routing you want.

So just to be clear. You are recording your voice from your Samson USB mic directly into Audition. Then you want to replay the output from Audition and get the Quizlet app to take Audition's playback output as it's input source?

That's it in a nutshell. Any help would be great. Ideally, a live solution but pre-recording the clips to play through a mock mic audio input could work.
Edit: I'm using the Quizlet website interface to add the audio. I hold down the spacebar and it records 30s of audio input from the OS assigned audio input source.

You might have to resort to something like VAC although, as Bob knows, it can be tricky to set up. The app allows internal digital connections between apps to transfer audio in and out of running audio software. You haven't said but this is assuming that you are using a Windows based PC.

VAC has the solution... not sure how yet but progress was made this morning, thanks!
I had stumbled on Jack Audio Connection Kit last night, which is similar to VAC, but it is even less user friendly (but free) and had no success. Possibly a virtual driver set up issue...
With the VAC trial this morning, I was able to generate virtual audio lines / devices and get Audition to output to a virtual line with Chrome checking it for mic audio. The quality was a bit poor but tweaking some settings will likely help. 80% to my goal, thanks!
Tonight, I'll try tweaking the quality and hopefully get Audition to send live post processed audio (similar to adding live effects and monitoring).

Thanks for the advice. I'm getting somewhere using virtual audio routing thanks to ryclark. I'll update the post once solved. Thanks again for the input.
