Admittedly a n00b question (TYIA) -- I was using Audacity until I upgraded my Mac to Catalina... Now Audacity no longer works on my Mac, so I downloaded Audition.
It's a litttttttle more robust than I need -- I'm just recording and "baby editing" a podcast and guided meditations and things.
That said -- the volume in one little part of my first recording is too loud.
I've selected the section, but can only figure out how to adjust volume of the whole track.
Doing some googling, I found out there's supposed to be this handy little HUD bar --- but it's nowhere to be found.
I've tried going to View and toggling it on and off, and I just simply don't see where it is. At all. It's most definitely not hovering above the track Editor the way everyone says it should be.
Hellllp? I feel like this should be so obvious, but it's driving me absolutely nuts.
EDIT: Just found it. Only in the Waveform tab, not in the Multi-track tab. Ahhhhhh. Victory. 😉 #n00b

If it disappears again, it's worth noting that you can (accidentally) turn it off in the View menu...
