Move Playhead to In Point / Out Point keyboard shortcuts do not work while playing.
Of course stopping play before clicking resolves the issue, but making it a one-click deal would effectively be twice as efficient with no downside, and unify Audition's UX a bit more with Premiere other editing software.
Beyond the two-click solution is there a setting that might affect this?
If not I'll post as a Feature Request as well.

The only way to do this at the moment is to make a Marker Region of the selected audio. Then the Ctrl+Left/Right Cursor key to move between Markers will do what you want.

Feature Requesting at Feature Request/Bug Report Form :
Feature Request:
Allow the "Move Playhead to In/Out" command to function while the playhead is playing.
How would you like the feature to work?
Currently these two commands are unresponsive when the Audition is playing, only when stopped.
Caveat: I suspect some sound editors would appreciate an option, if playing, that the go-to In/Out continued playing. Others might prefer it stop (as NLE Video Editors do)
So in addition to the above request, make it a request for a total an enhancement to the existing command plus two additional commands, so that...
Existing commands are effectively:
Move Playhead to In even while playing and stop
Move Playhead to Out even while playing and stop
And two new commands:
Move Playhead to In even while playing and continue playing
Move Playhead to Out even while playing and continue playing
Why is this feature important to you?
Enhancing these features would unify functionality between PPro and Audition, make Audition more robust. There's no down-side.
