Multitrack Session from One Specific Premiere Project Crashes Audition

After sending a sequence from Premiere Pro 2019 (13.1.5) to Audition (12.1.5), I am able to save the multitrack session, but when I play it, I get no audio playback, and Audition crashes when I click the Multitrack menu, try to select Import/Export, or try to Solo a track. (Strangely enough, I can mute a track without crashing Audition even though I can't Solo a track.)

I am on Windows 10 1909 using a Ryzen 7 3700X with 64 GB RAM.

I have tried:

  • Sending sequence from Premiere Pro (remove all effects, no video, no pan/volume information)
  • Importing sequence from Audition
  • Saving Premiere project to a new location
  • Saving Audition interchange files to a new location
  • Importing the sequence into a new Premiere Pro project

The result has been the same for all of these, leading me to believe there is something in this sequence that is corrupt or problematic. But I don't understand how this is possible, because the audio is all extracted and rendered as new WAV files when sent to Audition. What remains that is tied to this specific sequence? How do I determine what in this sequence is causing my problem? I'm stumped.

For reference, other multitrack sessions open, play, and operate fine in Audition. Also, since I encountered this problem, I have exported other sequences from other Premiere projects to Audition without problems. I've already sent a crash report to Adobe with much of this information, but I'm hoping someone in the community has an idea to help.

I'm also having a problem with the Multitrack. When I try to open it from my laptop, I get this error. But I can open Multitrack fine from my desktop. (I am using Mac.) Any ideas?

Sorry, I don't think I can help you. My first guess would be that you have a different version of Audition on your laptop than your desktop. But this seems to be a different issue from what I'm facing. I don't get any error messages.
