My "Record" function is disabled

Hi Guys,

   I recently had to disconnect everything to do a mobile recording project.  I ran into some problems that I eventually figured out, but when I set everything back up here in my studio, my "Record" function on the individual channels is now greyed out - unusable.  I'm thinking some setting got changed, but I can't for the life of me find anything that seems to relate to the channel functions.

Here's a possible clue: if you don't have a valid input source assigned to a track, the Record function is inhibited...

Ok, but being that I didn't change any setting, I don't know where to find the Input Source you mention.  I never change settings, so if some glitch makes a change, I have no idea where to look, or even what setting got changed.

   First, thank you for all of your help with this and my other issues.

So, this is the section that gets changed for no apparent reason - it looks different when it gets changed.  I know how to use this part when it's normal, but I'm thinking there is some setting in the hardware that gets changed.  I've looked and looked, haven't been able to find anything that looks like it relates to this issue.  At the moment, it appears everything is back to normal, but I'm hoping I can at some point, find what setting is being messed with so the next time this happens I can just remedy it.
