Dear Adobe Family,
I am Dileep. I work at a University in Iowa. One of the course lectures that we recorded recently has an audio distortion issue. We tried many basic tools in Audition, but they did not help much.
Here is a sample RAW audio file. Could you please let me know if you have any solution?

Thank you.

I'm afraid that this type of distortion (see below) simply cannot be repaired, under any circumstances. The reason for this is that you have no record of what the result should sound like, therefore no tools to correct it as there is no reference point.
The closest you can get to any form of distortion removal is that if you have a digital 'clip' where individual peaks of the signal hit 0dB, it's sometimes (but not always) possible to estimate where the original peak should have stopped, reduce the overall level and restore it. But the signals you have are not digitally overloaded; they result from the mic preamp being significantly overloaded, and for this there is no fix.
