no audio and the play button will not work- i have to each time go into preferences audio channel mapping and add more to 3(C) and 4(FLE) speakers but it keeps reverting every time i turn off my computer how can it permanently fix this.
I have no idea why this started doing it. I have uninstalled Audio Audio CS6 and reinstalled but it does the same.
Assuming that this is under Windows, you will probably need to set the audio defaults in the Windows Sound settings so that the configuration you want to use is what starts with the machine. There isn't anything in Audition you can do to help this - it has to happen outside of it. You might also want to try looking at the drivers available in Preferences>Audio Hardware; if you have WASAPI available as an option, this may be worth trying as it's rather newer and possibly better able to cope with

Hi thanks
I did try looking at windows sound settings however the speakers work for every other audio program.
I even had that the play curser wouldn't move either. I went into Preferences, Audio mapping, device speakers add 2 more speaker 3 & 4 and it worked. So I saved as a new workspace and now all appears back to normal.
