I am running on my new PC W10 AUDITION 13-0-2-35 connected for voice record to an ALESIS IO2 with SHURE BETA 87A microphone. On the old machine I had no problem.

1) Now with the new PC I experience burst noise during voice recording. I have tried an other SHUE microphone : same problem! The solution I have found has been to record using the free software AUDACITY and then transfer the recorded file  to AUDITION for edition.

2 When I try to open a file from AUDITION the software crashes  and a message tells me that there has been a problem and that the software has stopped running.

Is there a solution to these crazy problems?

If you get a crash, then do what it says here: Audition crashed - now what?

You might also want to post the log file here. Sometimes it's obvious what has caused it, but mostly the best answers come from the devs - as long as they have some contact details.
