Noise Reduction issue with MacBook Pro 2016

I'm having an issue with the Noise Reduction effect on my new 2016 MacBook Pro with TouchBar. I use the effect as I normally do, select an area, Capture Noise Print, then invoke the Noise Reduction Process. The pop-up box graphically indicates that it's working properly, but when I click Apply, there is no change in noise level.

But, if I do the same exact thing a second time, Capture Noise Print then Noise Reduction Process, it works fine.

Any thoughts?

Completely stupid question but you ARE remembering to click the "select entire clip" button before running the NR aren't you?

I only as because if I had a dollar for every time I'd done that myself, I'd be living in a mansion with a pool rather than sweltering in Aussie summer heat.

Yup, I'm selecting the entire clip - although I have indeed missed that step a couple of times in the past!
