Well, as it says. Video is older, so there's a lot of noise, but also dialogue and certain sounds, such as animals that I'd like to keep in, and then balance to the same level. Any advice on what to use to do this?

For the record, I already did find noise reduction and normalization as features, but from what I heard normalization only targeted the dialogue, and I'm not sure in what order should different effects and settings be used for the best result.

No, Normalization works on everything, not just the dialogue.

Huh, I wonder if I did something wrong then as only dialogue was audible after using it.

What level did you set the Nomalize to? Its purpose is solely to make everything in the audio peak (i.e., be loudest) at whatever level you set. If you set a level lower than the peak of the audio already is then everything will be "quieter".
