As a long-time user of iZotope Ozone I yesterday received the message that Ozone 8 is now released. I have downloaded the trial version and installed it. I did notice that the product page does not list AA as being a compatible host. However, the installation appeared to proceed "normally" and an initial use of it within AA CC 10.1.1.11 showed both the VST and VST3 versions to be listed and hence, presumably, available.
However, I have opened AA this morning and ALL the Ozone 8 VST3s are no longer listed. To be clear, all the VST modules seem to be present but not the VST3s. I guess this question is aimed primarily at SteveG or ryclark, but does anyone know why this should be? As a matter of interest, also, is there any "obvious" reason why Ozone 8 should not be compatible with AA, given that every prior version of Ozone that I have owned/used has worked flawlessly in various versions of AA?
TIA.

I don't use any iZotope effects normally (except RX). But just installed the Ozone 8 demo and both versions seems to work OK immediately after installation so far. Will double check again tomorrow after my PC has been rebooted.

It works fine here too, and has a few interesting new things in it...
Will it run for you as a standalone?

Thank you for your answer to my original posting. Yes, the standalone does run.
And, just to add to the (my) "confusion"; I opened AA CC again this morning, re-ran the Scan for plug-ins (with the "rescan existing plug ins" NOT ticked) and it now found all the Ozone 8 VST3 dlls!!

I'm resurrecting this thread because, although the repeated scanning for plug ins within AA CC did restore (and maintain, so far) connection to all the VST and VST3 modules, I also raised the matter with iZotope Customer Service. Their reply is below:
As you are aware, Adobe Audition is no longer a supported host for Ozone 8. Due to updates made to Ozone 8’s code and DSP engine, communication issues between Ozone 8 and Adobe Audition have arisen. This is likely the cause of the numeration issues you’ve reported. While you may be able to achieve partial functionality, the product’s behavior and performance will likely be unstable and unpredictable. For these reasons, iZotope cannot provide support for this workflow.
I am aware that Audition is, rightly, pretty "picky" about requiring VSTs and, presumably, VST3s, to adhere very closely to the Steinberg specification but "updates to Ozone's code and DSP engine" which creates "communication issues"...???
I'd be very interested to hear comments from other users and, especially, the devs about this, particularly since AA includes "modules" originally created by and licensed from iZotope.

Very strange. It's all worked fine here as a plugin, and I'm not aware of any comments from 'elsewhere' within iZotope about this either...
Will do a little checking, when I get a chance.

Thanks Steve.
My so far very limited use of it within AA also suggests no problems.

A request for clarification has been made. The only thing that it seemingly can't do in the current release is to appear as a 'whole' app under VST3, although the individual modules still show up. As a straight VST though, the whole thing appears to work reliably. I think that what they are suggesting is that if it works fine - well that's fine. But if, all of a sudden it doesn't - well then you're on your own.
But we'll see what, if anything, comes back.

Interesting! However, it does appear for me as a whole app under the VST3 Mastering tab. And yes, I can "edit" the settings, change modules etc., etc. exactly as was the case with Ozone 7.

The files that are producing this error are:
Dvaaudiofilterhostui. dll
Dvaaudiofilterhost. dll
Replacing them with a previous version fixes the problem.
and recognizes all VST3 plugins.
This error also occurs in Adobe Premiere,
And it is solved in the same way
