Something has happened in the most recent update.
It used to be when Auto-scrolling was selected during playback....when you clicked in the waveform to make an edit...it kept playing but STOPPED scrolling.
Now, while the waveform is playing...you can't click and make and edit WHILE it's playing. You have to stop the entire file from playing...click and make an edit.
Is there any solution for this?
MASSIVE slow down and frustration during editing because of this.

Which version of Audition were you using before that operated as you preferred compared to the latest version?

I've found what the problem is:
*In previous versions the Auto-Scroll setting under preferences/playback was ONLY triggered when the playhead got to the end of the viewing window...clear to the right side.
*In the current version...Auto-Scrolling begins IMMEDIATELY when you click play...this makes it virtually impossible to edit "on the fly" while playing at the same time.
A HUGE LET DOWN!!!

Have you tried with Auto Scroll turned off? The pages still update to the next one when the play cursor gets to the end of the page. But if you have clicked somewhere that disappears off screen when you Stop the playhead will go back to where you clicked for editing purposes.
