"An error was encountered during the conforming process" (Suite Spot please respond)

I am beyond dissapointed with Adobe Audition. On several accounts, when I've gone to open an .sesx file that I have previously worked on, I'm unable to retrieve any of it because I get an error message that reads "an error was encountered during the conforming process: Unable to read or decode this file." I have to start the entire process over again. Yesterday I worked with technical support for over two hours until they finally gave up and said they don't know what the problem is. Any suggestions? I'm so fed up with Audition.

I guess not, sadly could have actually done with finding out what this is suddnely broken my edit.
