"App" is not optimized for your Mac

Hello,

A few years ago I spent some $$$ purchasing the Adobe Creative Suite CS6 for my Mac.

I'm now being told that the "App" is not optimized for your Mac, and basically in the future it won't work on my Macbook.

Is there a 64-bit option available?

Or, do I have to spend another great chunk of money to update? Seems a little unfair as Adobe isn't cheap.

Thanks,

Thanks for getting back so quickly ryclark.

Yes, it is the Mac that says the 'App' is not optimised.

I'm running macOS High Sierra 10.13.4.

From what I understand, once Apple push the next major MacOS out, all 32-bit apps will cease to run!

That's why I'm upset when you consider the considerable cost of the Adobe suite.

No, CS6 was the last 32 bit version of Audition, no 64bit version I'm afraid. After that the CC versions are all 64 bit and need a 64 bit OS. However CS6 should run perfectly well on 64 bit systems. I have it running on both Win7 and Win 10 64 bit PCs. Is it the Mac that is saying that the 'App is not optimized'? What version OSX are you running? However 'not optimized' doesn't necessarily mean that CS6 won't run on the latest OSX. I'm pretty sure that many people do having running OK.

If that's true, then it's certainly rather inconsiderate of them, but unfortunately rather typical. At least Microsoft let 32-bit apps run pretty much seamlessly in Win10, even though they're running in a virtual 32-bit environment. Well, at least they have so far...
