CC

Audition 11.1.0.184

Premiere Version 13.0

System

Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6

1. I export Sequence Markers (or Clip Markers) as .csv from Premiere.

2. When attempting to import those markers in Audition (in either sequence or audio clip), Audition outputs "Error while reading marker data from file [file name]]".

I would be grateful for any help importing my markers from Premiere into Audition!

I don't believe that this can work since the Clip marker info produced by Premiere is not the same as any marker info that Audition can read. Others may know differently or a way to convert the format of one to the other.

I am also having this issue, but it's from Audition to Audition. There should be no reason the file is failing since it was created seconds before from the same program. does anyone have any insight?

Hi.  I just wanted to ask if you've seen a solution to this...  I am trying to get the CSV file from Prelude into Audition and I'm getting the same error.  Thank you!

If you are running on a PC, the only way to convert CSV information to something that Audition can understand is to use CueListTool (it's free). But this will only work to get cues attached to a 'real' file - they won't import into Multitrack view as timeline cues. Cues (Audition refers to them as markers, generally) only get added as extra data on the end of a file (you don't see this) but it's because of this that CueListTool can manipulate them.

It's PC only though, unless you can run an emulation.

Hi,

Thanks for response.  I am using a MAC.  I do have a windows laptop so I can move some things around.  What I am attempting to do is use the Live Logger app on my iPad while recording a Podcast on my Mac (Web Program).  Then sync up any markers from the app to the multitrack sequence in Audition.  I can get the markers to Prelude, but not from Prelude to Audition.  I get the error when attempting to import the csv file.

I've had another look at CueListTool, and if it's to import your cues they will have to be edited into a format that it can read, as I appear to be mistaken about its abilty to import CSV directly, I'm afraid. Its own format is called .cue, but it's english and I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to get a CSV file converted to it, although you'd have to do that bit yourself. But this will be your only option - there's nothing else available that will handle this at all that I'm aware of.

The only other hope is that SuiteSpot will see this, and have some sort of idea about it...
