I have a video of Arlo Guthrie playing Alice's Restaurant at EPCOT from 2007. The entire thing. It was shot on a Sony HDV camera from the third row. Great stage lighting on him. Unfortunately, the only audio I have was on the camera. The external recorder glitched.
I don't know if muddy is the right word, but it just isn't as clear as I would like it to be. It is OK, but could be better. His voice has a bit more bass to it than it should, I think.
I have Audition via the Creative Cloud but I don't know where to start. I haven't used it in years for anything other than noise removal. I don't want to publish the video publicly since it would probably get removed for copyright. But if you are an Arlo Guthrie fan and think you might have the skills to tell me how clean it up a bit, I will provide you with a link to it on YouTube.
Or should I post a short clip that you can download to see/hear it?
I would appreciate any advice you could provide. I will do the work myself if you point me in the right direction.
DM me for the link if you are interested. It would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Steven Gotz

Hi Steven, not sure if anyone has DM'd you. However if you post a 20sec sample of audio only, I'll take a listen.

Hi Steven,
Here's an image of some treatment I made on the sample in multitrack.
There were some troublesome frequencies that I've reduced using some notches in the parametric equaliser and a small amount of DeReverb on upper and lower frequencies.
Try this out and play around till it sounds good ( or otherwise ) to you.
Copying the above settings will get you to a starting point.
