Had to upgrade Macbook to highSerra just to able to install Audition2020. Its been working fine since Wednesday but now on Saturday, I get
"adobe has encountered an error reading or writing to disk, we recommend you save and restart" everytime I open it, or even try to open a blank waveform or MP3.
I have sent several reports to Adobe but i need a soloution fast.
Really dont knwo what todo. I cant use at all.

The obvious things to consider are:
1. Is there enough free space on your hard disk
2. Do you have permission to write to that drive
3. Was there another drive plugged in when you did the install
4. Is the hard drive damaged
5. Try saving your preferences and then deleting them

1) yes, 100+GB free
2) Should do, not sure how i find out?
3) No
4) hope not, it runs fine everywhere else, but how do i find out?
5) how?

UPDATE.
I uninstalled and re-installed, this seems to work for about 1-2hours of editing. Saved and mixed down some files.
I then closed Audition, reopened it an hour later to get the "could not write to disk" notification.
Since i closed it i had made NO changes to any function, preference, or sound set up on my Mac.
Can also see no issues with my Harddrive.
This is becoming very frustrating as I use the product regularly and it has become close to unusable despite costing £££.
Does adobe offer remote access help?

As you are on a Mac I can't answer any of those questions
Where are your temp drives set to ?
(Edit > Preferences > Media & Disk Cache)

Primary is just has " / " and browse auto opens to MacHD

Try setting them both to particular locations eg /temp and /cache though it is usually best to set them to different drives

This appears to have worked, thanks. Will update if not.
Surprised that Audition 2020 doesn't auto-create these drives during installation.

Not sure what it does on a Mac but keeps us in the loop as to how you get on

Adobe certainly can offer remote access help - you need to call them. But also there's the possibility that this is simply a permission that's not set correctly somewhere - I've heard about this happening before with temp file access. Not being a Mac user either, I can't be any more specific but the chances are fairly high that it's something like this.
