Hi all, I used Adobe Audition to record a voiceover via Rode Wireless GO II microphones and on several occasions (always at the beginning of a take) it cuts out briefly/fades the voice in, as if the software is just waking up and recognising the microphone. I have tested the microphone with basic Windows recording software and this worked just fine, so it's definitely Audition.
Is there some feature I have switched on/off that will help? I have attached a clip of the recording as an example. Many thanks

Did you ever get an answer for this? I am having the same problem, and I haven't been able to figure it out.

No, she didn't, by the look of it. But her logic is flawed - it's not caused by Audition. Audition always records faithfully what is sent to it, but if your sound device is being asked to do something it's not happy with, then this or other weirdness can occur. Typically this will happen when you are trying to use a device class that the sound source isn't happy with.
But in both of your cases, you haven't told us some basic stuff. Mac or PC? Waveform or Multitrack views? They all behave a bit differently...

I am having the same problem. Using Windows 11/HP Envy All in One with a USB Maono mic and Audition 2025. Worked fine on my old Windows 10 computer, but now the first word of every sentence I record is cut off. Any magical fixes? Thanks.

See my previous reply... there are any number of potential reasons for this, and please bear in mind that most of us don't have the problem. But specifically we'd need to know whether this is a Multitrack or Waveform recording you are making - they are completely different processes.
