If you have the unlocked version of Audition 3 and its authentication key, then yes it still works. But only with that key - no others will. This was available from Adobe for quite a while, until their lawyers instructed them to remove it - and indeed all earlier versions of everything. All you will find for any software now is the current version and its -1.

I'm looking out for Adobe and the customers who paid money for a daw they liked working with. I paid a lot for a daw in 2007. I am able to install it and work on it by replacing a few install files from the non activating version.

Adobe kind of messed up, there's a work around by using the [redacted] files with the retail version all you do is put in your purchased serial to activate it.

Well I'll warn you now - if you post any specific information about how to do this, it will be removed. This is an Adobe site, and we have to stick to Adobe's rules - however much you dislike them.

Whatever. Both programs are working. There's no reason to insult people for being ignorant. As much as could be understood the retail version of the daw works with its own serial from the purchase. I'm not sure what you are talking about. It sounds like you're being grumpy.

The retail version doesn't work with its own serial number, because the authentication server was turned off over ten years ago.
