Is there no option for returning the playhead to the beginning of a multitrack?
I know the option to return the playhead to the starting position when you stop playing, but that's not what I want. I can't believe there isn't a "To Front or To Beginning and To End" button.
'Home' key, and the 'End' key.

Why it isn't an option to add to the control dock like you can in Premiere is beyond me. Thanks for the workaround regardless. Hotkeys are faster anyway 🙂

Back in the mists of time (and we are talking about Cool Edit here) there was a toolbar that you could add items to. A lot of people thought it looked a bit cluttered, and when the new streamlined version came along courtesy of Adobe, the toolbar went. A few people bemoaned its loss at the time, but then it all went pretty quiet for years. That is, until you mentioned it again!
At the time, the feeling was indeed that hotkeys are faster - and Audition's range of things you can assign them to is pretty comprehensive, although there are one or two omissions. If you explore the keyboard preferences, you will find that the number of things you can assign would require way more keys than are available, even using multi-key combinations which are a bit more clunky anyway - single keys are definitely better.
So none of this is a workaround as such - it's by design, and an attempt at reducing the screen clutter. Something that sometimes, Premiere could do with... 😉

Oh, I totally didn't realize Audition was Cool Edit (or maybe I did, but forgot). I used to love that program 🙂
Well, the nice thing with Premiere is that you can customize the tool bar to have as many or as few buttons as you like. That's the best of both worlds.
Thanks again!
