Second issue, new day

Hello again.

How do I reroute the signal for Default Output to external monitors rather than the USB audio interface direct monitoring path? Audition wants to use the same input/output via the Behringer UM2 USB interface. Would a USB switch or some audio switch allow me to choose between the two? What about a replacement interface?

Thanks!

My first question is - did you get the proper ASIO driver to work? The biggest single problem with ASIO is that it will only let you use one interface at a time - you can't use two with it. Nothing to do with Adobe - those are Steinberg's rules (they invented ASIO). So if you've got proper ASIO running with it, then I'm afraid that you won't be able to do this without switching absolutely everything (drive class and driver) in Audition.

(Incidentally we're treating this as a new thread, and the duplicate question in the old thread, which can cause confusion, has gone. The thread is still there, though.)

Yes, the link that was forwarded to me yesterday worked. I need to uninstall the ASIO4ALL. I've seen other interfaces with switches that might solve the problem. I assume that other interfaces may not ALL operate with ASIO.
