Hello everyone,
I`m starting with Adobe Audition CC 2015.2.1 and I have a very basic problem: when I use the selection tools (lazo - marquee - time) in the frequency window when I release the mouse the selection disappears. I can`t fix the selection and I can't drag the selection elsewhere. Basically, the hand icon that allows you to move the selection never appears and the selection disappears as soon as I click elsewhere in the workspace
I know that Audition is a partially destructive editing program so I`m sure that this problem has something to do with that. For that reason, I tried to save the audiofile I`m working on before starting to work on it but nothing changed.
I`m sure that this is a stupid and easily solvable problem but so far I couldn`t find a solution.
Thank you for your help,
Ben
Thank you, Steve, for your answer but the problem was fixed when I opened Audition again. It`s a kind of mystery: for two days it didn't work and then, suddenly, yesterday it was fixed.
Who knows..

One of those things would happen anyway; if you clicked away from a selection, it would disappear. I have a couple of questions, though. Is the on-screen HUD turned on? (View>Show HUD). If it is, does it disappear from the waveform part of the screen at all? If you make a vertical line time selection on the waveform, does the selection also show up on the frequency display?
In terms of things to try - well you could try opening Audition with the shift key held down; this would use a 'vanilla' set of preferences. If it works correctly then, you need to locate your preferences folder, delete the contents, and start Audition again. This will replace the preferences permanently with a new set. If that doesn't fix it, then uninstall and reinstall, and try again.
